I soaked staring at the starry heavens tonight, and contemplating the reality of my direct experience.
I saw that thinking and feeling are not a way of knowing the apparent world, they are the body-mind’s interpretations of raw sensing and perceiving. They are a veil, a layer on top of pure knowing.
Sometimes they are useful and necessary for navigating life. When they are not, we can shift our attention away from them and rest in primary awareness.
