“Normally we think that there is one sky seen by many people. In fact there are many skies (that is, many perceptions) seen by one Consciousness.”
—Rupert Spira
Perhaps this is a major stumbling block for many: that consciousness seems to reside inside the head, so it must be personal. We fall into believing this is true because that’s what we’ve been repeatedly told; that’s what our culture reflects. But what if that is not the largest truth? More and more I notice just how impersonal awareness truly is. Impersonal, yet completely intimate with all.
Each person who saw this sunset at the NADA retreat center in 2009 saw a different sky, from a different body-mind perspective. One consciousness, many skies.
