I was mulling over yesterday’s reminder on responsibility as I lay awake last night–yes, lying awake still happens occasionally, even when I pull off my “habits”–and I realized that responsibility didn’t point as clearly as I wanted.
Instead, it’s clearer to say that we have the opportunity, in this eternal, present moment to wake ourselves up out of the dream, and remember what we are. It doesn’t matter to awareness whether we wake up or not–it is not uncaring, but is fully open to any and every experience that unfolds in this wild, manifested universe. Black holes, exploding suns, birthing, dying, loving, starving–it is all welcome.
The opportunity is right now. Can you taste it?
