stretch the soup
with broth
knot a broken lace
mend the coat, coax
one more year of use
do what you can

railing about fate
will hide the way
that leads to peace
look for the gate
with gratitude
etched on the arch

step outside
watch day ease
over the hill
greet the light
see what’s next
choose that
