if
if I accept
that the delicate
flutter of a butterfly’s
wings can alter
the manifest world
if I know this
in the deepest
heart of myself,
then it’s plain
we’re one vast body
if a tiny tremble
a mere shiver
powerful
as man’s war
ignites a shift
then the movement
of love in my
small realm
matters

I’m writing a poem a day. These are drafts—not final versions.
I love this one..it’s quiet beginning builds to a perfect ending!!!

Thank you! I’ve renamed it “if.”

Oh I love this one. I would probably have entitled it ³If² I had to ponder the first verse and wonder if I, too, accept that a butterfly¹s wings can alter the manifest world. Good thought-provoking! Thank you, XO Sylvia
