unbound
note to self
you are bound
to this earth
no doubt, but
there is a way
to untether—
gain quiet insight
from dismantling
and unlearning
the strange way
you were taught
to frame reality
you were coached
and molded to
amplify beliefs and
stories on top of
what actually
transpires—the
how and why
instead of a
clearer what—
peel them off
return to vivid truth
what happened?
instead of inviting
drama, meet and
welcome the feelings
—nothing more

I’m writing a poem a day. These are drafts—not final versions.
You have captured something here… Something very true. Thank you!

Thank you, Annie—I had to keep coming back and back to this poem, honing it, seeking to dive deeper. I’m delighted that it found you.

I love your poetry practice, Amrita.
But the “write myself awake” intention…?
You are already inescapably awake…
For me, your words are the luminous expression of that awakeness.

I do know that and, as Rupert says, it’s a neverending revelation. I feel it needs tending, especially in these times.
Much love, Amrita

Tending is such a beautiful word.
[attend; tenderly; tenderness…]
Your tender attention blesses us all.
Thank you my dear friend. xx
