falling stars

Last night, under pure, open sky with no city lights–the Milky Way a sprinkled band across the crown of the heavens–I was welcomed into an old friend’s arms.

He said softly, “Here we are, falling stars, that have landed right here, right now.”

Little bits of awaring light, recognizing the other as the same.

Precious.
