We love hanging out with like-minded people because they reaffirm that what we believe is true. We call these people our friends.
What if, what if the very best friend that you could have is the one that questions your beliefs on a regular basis? The one that helps you see that beliefs are simply thoughts that come and go, and because of that–although we may believe that they are foundational and provide stability in our lives–they are not reliable. That is a true friend.
Turn within and look for that which is unchanging. That is reliable.
