effort and effortlessness

effortingWhy would we choose the tiring, draining experience of making an effort when life can live itself effortlessly? All we need to do is not get in the way.

When we leave the belief in a separate self by our shoes at the door, life flows on its own accord. You know you’ve had those moments (we all have, every day)… when deeply engaged with something you are passionate about, when experiencing the first flush of love, while slipping into a warm bathtub. These moments are natural!

Efforting is an addition on top of the natural moment.
